Gate House Chapel International stands today as a beacon of faith, a testament to the unwavering dedication of its founder, Apostle Doris Awatigah. But the story of this vibrant church community begins not in a grand edifice, but in a humble living room.
On November 26th, 2013, with a fervent desire to create a nurturing space for spiritual growth, Apostle Awatigah embarked on a remarkable journey. Joined by a small group of ten individuals, they gathered in a living room, laying the foundation for what would become Gate House Chapel International.
With fervent prayer and evangelism, the church continued to grow, and that living room could not accommodate the number of people seeking to hear the undiluted Word Of God. The church was moved to a small place in her father’s compound, where fervent prayer, prophetic sessions, uplifting sermons, impactful worship, and the Spirit Of God continued to take its place in the church.
When the COVID-19 virus struck the world, church activities came to a halt. But the church hadn’t stopped growing. It was at that same time the Founder and Leader secured a beautiful space, and the works of a new edifice began. After the lift of the lockdown, members did not come to meet the old small space, but a huge, beautiful edifice dedicated to God in 2020. The church achieved much more than anyone could imagine, due to the Presence of God in the church. Outreaches, music concerts, prayer services and retreats, revivals, and many others, are just some of the many things we do to glorify the name of the Lord.
